Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026.

This page describes what data GardenVerdict ("we", "the site") collects when you visit gardenverdict.com, what we do with it, and the third-party services we rely on. GardenVerdict is a faceless affiliate publication — we do not operate user accounts, we do not collect email addresses, and we do not sell visitor data to anyone.

What we collect

When you visit gardenverdict.com, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs the IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamp of each request. These logs are used to operate the site, mitigate abuse, and produce aggregate traffic counts. We do not link these logs to any personal identity.

If you have analytics cookies enabled, we also receive page-view, session, and basic device-type information through Google Analytics 4. This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not configure GA4 to collect personally identifying information, and we do not enable Google's advertising features on this property.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies:

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from reading the site.

Third-party services

GardenVerdict uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

Pinterest API usage

GardenVerdict publishes promotional pins to Pinterest using the Pinterest API. The API is used solely to (a) create and update pins on Pinterest boards owned and operated by GardenVerdict, and (b) read engagement metrics (impressions, clicks, saves) on those same pins. Each pin links back to a published article on gardenverdict.com.

GardenVerdict does not use the Pinterest API to access, collect, or store any data about Pinterest users, followers, or other accounts. The integration operates one-way — GardenVerdict pushes content to its own boards — and does not handle end-user authentication, profile data, or private board contents. The OAuth tokens used to authenticate with the API are stored only on GardenVerdict's own infrastructure and are not shared with third parties.

Affiliate disclosure

GardenVerdict is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through affiliate links on this site, at no extra cost to you. See Editorial Standards for our recommendation criteria.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because GardenVerdict does not maintain user accounts and does not collect personally identifying information beyond standard server logs, in most cases there is no personal data tied to you on file. If you would like us to confirm this in writing, or to remove server log records associated with a specific IP address, contact us using the address below.

Children's privacy

GardenVerdict is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
